Bio

Born in 1951, the year that introduced the Fender Precision Bass, I have felt a lifelong affinity for the Low End.
I started playing in 1965 and joined Local New York Bands, performing British Invasion, Motown and Soul tunes. In 1968, I fell in love with The Blues of Muddy Waters, Howling Wolf and Albert King.
After spending much of the ’70s backing Acoustic Singer/Songwriters, Skanking with Reggae Bands and Jamming Loft Jazz, I wandered into the historic Punk Rock Club, CBGB. I was knocked out by the raw power that reminded me of why I first played Rock and Roll. My New Wave/Power Pop Group, The Dates, spent the next few years sharing the stage with Blondie, The Ramones and Madonna.
After moving to San Francisco in 1983, I played most of the Local Blues Clubs with The High Rollers, Brother Cat and Blind Lemon Phillips. I also played Acoustic World Music with Tapestry.
In 2015 I retired from my day job, moved to The North Bay and began playing full time. I have Performed Blues with The Patrick Ford Band, Folk Rock with The Brian Travis Band, Hard Rock with The Lindsey Thomas Project and Acoustic Instrumental Music with Madera Marin.
My current Bands are The Rock and Roll Rhythm Revue and Power Trio Big Daddy.
